October 2017

October is a big month for the Bendigo Rowing Club with our school rowing program kicking off on Wednesday the 11th and the annual regatta being hosted here at Lake Weeroona on October 21st. This is an excellent time of year for new and old members to jump back into a boat and enjoy all rowing has to offer!

November 12th and 13th 2016

Congratulations to all crews who rowed at the Dimboola and Head of the Wimmera regattas this weekend! Everyone rowed brilliantly, despite the awful weather conditions.

A special congratulations to our woman’s crew for bringing home a medal in Head of the Wimmera, beating all the other crews by nearly a minute.

Photos from the weekend can be found in the photo gallery.

Two of our crews took on the Head of the Goulburn in Negambie. Despite the cold conditions, a wonderful day was had by all.

    • Hi Meaghan

Unfortunately the junior season is about to go into recess for the winter. It will resume again around July 2014. Current cost is $80 for the 8 week Learn-to-Row (L2R) program. If beginners decide they like rowing and wish to continue beyond the L2R program they would then need to become a member of the Club. They would be expected to commit to a crew and compete in regattas. The cost of the L2R program would be deducted off the cost of the membership (fee is set each year at the August AGM). Let me know if you would us to notify you when the new season is about to begin. I suggest you look at the “Parent Info” page to get an idea of what you’ll be getting yourself into.

      Regards
      Esmae

    • Hi Anna
Email your contact details to bendigorc@live.com.au and we’ll be in touch. Activity around the club generally quietens down over winter however we do have a ladies crew in search of a rower and we are about to participate in some Winter sculling with Shepp & Nagambie Rowing Clubs. First “meet” will be Sunday June 15 if you want to get involved.
